That's exactly two years since the EOS-D30 was first announced, although that seems like a long time ago the D30 didn't hit the streets until the end of 2000 (early 2001 in some countries) and so remained a tempting enigma for most of 2000.

If you are a beginer/snapshooter that wants a glorified point and shoot camera get a rebel. this camera is a serious photographic tool, and there is a somewhat steep learning curve when stepping up from compact/prosumer cameras.
24 Μαρ 2002 · Review after shutter release. If enabled the D60 will provide an instant review of the image taken immediately after the shutter release. This can be either a single full screen image or a smaller image with histogram and exposure information (as described below).
Coupled with the incredible Canon EOS lenses, the Canon D60 DSLR produced beautiful, smooth 6.3 megapixel digital pictures. The 1.6 "field of view crop factor" (the sensor is smaller than a 35mm film back - the outer 40% or so of the lens is not used) makes this camera perfect for nature photography.
