Students are briefed on effective instructional approaches and use of visual aids and handouts. This course allows the student to become a trainer in the OSHA Outreach Training Program, to conduct both 10- and 30-hour Construction Outreach classes, and to issue cards to participants after verifying course completion.

The UCSD OTIEC has been authorized by OSHA to provide training in a Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) format. Classes are available to those who live or work in Region IX (AZ, CA, Guam, HI, NV & Pacific Territories).
Although the classes will be taught live via scheduled Zoom meetings, Canvas also provides administrative support and will provide students access to required forms as well as the course materials. The OSHA Outreach Training Program provides training for students on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces. The courses below enable students to teach the 10- and 30-hour classes that result in OSHA Outreach Program course completion cards for their students.
