Hamilton Pool is a beautiful swimming hole nestled in the Hill Country about 20 miles west of Austin off Highway 71. The natural swimming pool is formed by a collapsed grotto that is supplied by a 60-foot waterfall.
Hamilton Pool Preserve consists of 232 acres (0.94 km 2) of protected natural habitat featuring a jade green pool into which a 50-foot (15 m) waterfall flows with water temperatures reaching 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

25 Απρ 2016 · Travis County Parks is now taking reservations for spots from May 15 through September 30. Access to Hamilton Pool has been restricted in an effort to "reduce congestion and alleviate unnecessary travel to the Preserve when it has reached capacity," according to Travis County Parks.
