Seán Patrick O'Malley OFM Cap (born June 29, 1944) is an American Catholic prelate who currently serves as Apostolic Administrator of the Archdiocese of Boston, having served as its metropolitan archbishop from 2003 to 2024. A member of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin, he was made a cardinal by Pope Benedict XVI in 2006.
