I need to turn personalized ads back on because every single ad I get on YouTube is this scam where they’re advertising getting some kind of money from some “real” government program. It’s the same script for different websites.
These scam videos and ads are terrible. But are you expecting a totally ad free video service that you get unlimited access to in exchange for your viewing data?
YouTube almost assuredly knows it's a scam but they're getting that ad revenue so hopefully spamming them with reports will force them to take them down. For those that don't know, touch the three dots on the top right of the screen and select Report ad.
