Surrender and rehoming. Animal Humane Society helps thousands of dogs, cats, and critters in need find loving homes each year. We take in every animal surrendered to us regardless of its health, age, breed, or behavior.
Based on urgency and foster home space availability, PAWS Animal Shelter does take in animals surrendered by their owners. Please understand that because we have very limited resources, it's necessary for us to prioritize the animals we take into rescue.

No-Kill Rescue accepts surrenders BY APPOINTMENT ONLY! Please note that because we are committed to every pet in our care, and the animals in our facility forever have a home with us until they are adopted, H.A.L.O. manages animal intakes based on our space and resource availability.
How to Give a Cat to a No-Kill Shelter. The process is the same as it would be for any shelter: Start with a search, specifically for no-kill shelters. Contact the shelters you find to see if they have capacity to take in another cat.
