Catholic Mass Readings and Homily – Year C. In Year C we get the Sunday Gospel Readings from the Gospel of Luke. During the Easter Season, we always get the First Reading from the Acts of the Apostles. During other liturgical seasons, we get the First Reading from the Old Testament.
The Sunday cycle is divided into three years, labeled A, B, and C. 2021 was Year B, 2022 is Year C, Year A will being on November 27, 2022 and continue through December 2, 2023. In Year A, we read mostly from the Gospel of Matthew.

This week we return to the liturgical season of Ordinary Time. This Sunday and next Sunday, however, are designated as solemnities, special days that call our attention to central mysteries of our faith. Today, on the first Sunday after Pentecost, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity.
