  2. The Caymus label, established in 1972, is best known for its signature style Cabernet Sauvignon; the 2019 we tasted was rich and complex. 3. Caymus Vineyards is located in the center of the Napa Valley. Primary production is Cabernet Sauvignon grown on low-fertility soils on both the valley floor and the mountains that surround the valley.

  4. Today, Caymus Cabernet is one of Napa Valleys most celebrated wines. Made from grapes farmed in 8 of Napa Valley’s 16 appellations, the wine has a signature style that is dark in color, with rich fruit and ripe tannins – as approachable in youth as it is in maturity.

  5. Lake Hennessey is a reservoir in the Vaca Mountains, east of St. Helena and the Napa Valley, within Napa County, California. Lake Hennessey is situated 2 miles northeast of Caymus Vineyards.

  7. Caymus Vineyards is a Napa winery owned by Chuck Wagner and his family. It was named for George Yount's Rancho Caymus land grant, [2] which in turn was named for the villages of Kaimus, the Wappo settlements previously existing in the region. [3]
