2 Ιουλ 2009 · They are a rare model from 1984, large walnut cabs, 8 driver per speaker. There are pics here on AK of them. They image superbly and are just a great speaker- even better than the great D9's I think!!
Modern alternative: The Cerwin Vega XLS-28 is a 3-way floor-standing speaker that features dual 8-inch cast frame high-excursion woofers, a 6.5-inch mid-range driver, and a 1-inch soft-dome tweeter. It has a frequency response range of 45 Hz to 20 kHz and delivers precise, detailed sound.
Strength: great cabinent, good low to mid volume sound, nice clean bass, low price. Weakness: distorted high volume, low power handling, small magnet, bogus power rating, lacking mids and highs. These speakers are ok for the price, you get what you pay for. The sound is ok at low or moderate levels but the sound definately degrades at high volume.

I use them on a NAD 208-THX power amp (2x250W 8O-rms & 2x800W 4O-max), and good speaker-cables. Great combination for all kinds of music -specialy rock/techno. They don''t sound laid-back, they play with attack. If you like classic music, and want a smoth and laid-back sound, there may be better alternatives.
