31 Μαΐ 2012 · I bought a pair of CV D3's at a garage sale 2 weeks ago for $10 and refoamed the 10" speakers last weekend. It was very easy to do and they sound great on my Marantz 2270. Are there better speakers?

28 Σεπ 2016 · Another summer project getting finished today is this pair of Cerwin Vega D3 speakers. These needed a re foam job and I picked them up as they have an efficiency rating of 93db, I figured this would be good for the tube amp.
28 Οκτ 2017 · Cerwin Vegas were the speakers I wanted in college but couldn’t afford. Finding a set of D3s on the side of the road a number of years back was what got me into the audio hobby. I really liked the D3.
I scored these Cerwin-Vega D-3’s back in October 2023, for $80. The cabinets are an 8 out of 10, so pretty good. They had the expected foam rot issue. I promptly ordered new foam from Simply Speakers, the new foam surrounds sat on top of the speakers for 4 months.
23 Φεβ 2010 · Most of today's offerings from Cerwin Vega top out at 95db per watt efficiency. And I would advise that you stay away from their subwoofers. Most of them are very cheaply made and sound hideous in my opinion.
25 Απρ 2007 · Frequency response is what it is. Expect musical output into the 30-something Hz area. It has a 10" sub driver, right? The mid drivers are the weakest link in that series. Nothing more than $1.29 paper cones with about a half mm of Xmax. I will advise replacing those with something new that will fit, and you don't have to go very high in pricing.
