13 Νοε 2024 · After last Windows 10 update, all the icons disappeared, both from my desktop and from my Pictures folder. On the desktop, the names are still there and I can still click on them, just no icons.
I just installed the 21H1 update, followed by the KB5003214 and KN5003252 updates. Now the Date, Time and other icons such as Volume, Wifi etc are all missing from the Taskbar (usually on the right-hand end).

If your icons have disappeared right click your start menu and choose the icons you want on your desktop. If your icons have been hidden, on an explorer window, click Organise --> folder and search options --> View menu --> Select the 'SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS' and click apply.
If you run through Windows Update (or in my case an Upgrade to Windows 10 1903) and find all of your desktop icons are missing this is the fix for you:. Verify your desktop icons still exist by checking in C:\USERS\<YourName>\DESKTOP. If your files and shortcuts are safe continue to the next step.
