I have version 1.15 Beta 1, which needs tweaking for optimum results. To Set autoload: (Right-click the icon in the Taskbar > Settings > General > tick Autorun).

Select "Short date": and enter yyyy-MM-dd and click apply. That should directly update the date in the toolbar.
