For information about jury service in the State of New York, including a Handbook explaining jury service and answering common questions, visit www.nyjuror.gov. Residents of New York County may be summoned to serve jury duty in trials, civil and criminal, in the County, or to serve on a grand jury.
How to Apply for a Postponement or Excusal. If you have had no prior postponements, and would like to automatically file for your first postponement now, you can apply by phone at 1-800-449-2819 or on the web at www.nyjuror.gov. All applications for postponements must be submitted prior to the date of jury service.
