Centro Hispano Marista welcomes all adults to join in the opportunities of seeking academic growth. We offer preparation classes for the GED® (General Educational Development) in English or Spanish.
Mini Summer Session: July 7-31, 4 Weeks. The Spanish GED Program is a part of the Adult Education Department at Centro Romero. This program instructs students in the areas of Mathematics, Spanish, Social Studies, and Sciences.

GED PROGRAM is best for students who need to prepare for the GED in all four subjects: Reading/Writing, Math, Science and Social Studies. Classes meet Monday thru Thursday for 12 weeks. Choose Mornings 10:30am-1:30pm or Evenings 6-8:30pm. Terms start in Sept, Feb, April & June.
Two types of bilingual programs are available in NYC public schools: Transitional Bilingual Education (TBE) Dual Language (DL) These programs strengthen students’ native language development and content knowledge while they build their social and academic English skills.
Classes are taught in Spanish and English by a certified Department of Education instructor. HSE classes are funded by the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) and available to adults 21 years and older (night classes) and students 21 and under (daytime classes).
