Students preparing to take the GED or HiSET high school equivalent exams can take their GED® or HiSET preparation course online. Designed for students who can work at least 5-7 hours per week to prepare to take the GED or HiSET exam. How to Apply.
We offer preparation classes for the GED® (General Educational Development) in English or Spanish. Students who earn their the GED® test are certified with an American high school academic equivalent level.
Mini Summer Session: July 7-31, 4 Weeks. The Spanish GED Program is a part of the Adult Education Department at Centro Romero. This program instructs students in the areas of Mathematics, Spanish, Social Studies, and Sciences.
GED Classes Online in New York. You have the option in New York to prepare for the GED online from home, at work, or wherever you can get a reliable Wi-Fi connection. Upon completing your online courses, you can register to take the GED exam at an approved testing center.
In 2013, New York State (NYS) began administering tests designed to assess student performance in accordance with the instructional shifts and rigor demanded by the new New York State P–12 Learning Standards in English Language Arts (ELA).

Ready, Set, Test - The New High School Equivalency Exam is Here. New York State has chosen the General Educational Development Test (GED® Test) for the high school equivalency (HSE) exam beginning January 2022. The GED Test is produced by GED Testing Service (GEDTS) for national use.
