  1. If your drop-off center is full or overflowing, please call the Blue Cart Recycling Hotline at 312.744.5702 to report it. Please provide the location of the center and the date you saw it full. Recycling Drop-off Centers have been available since late 2007.

  4. Got recycling? Visit Chicago's drop off locations. All the materials accepted in the Blue Cart program, are also recyclable at these locations.

  5. Blue Cart Recycling. Residential recycling is collected every other week, view your pickup schedule. Items collected in the blue recycle cart are sorted by material and then sent to manufacturers to make new products.

  6. The City of Chicago offers several ways for residents of the 44th Ward to recycle. If your garbage is picked up by the city’s Streets & Sanitation department, you can participate in Chicago’s Blue Cart Program. With this program, materials no longer need to be sorted in blue bags.

  7. Use the City’s Residential Recycling Drop-off Centers to recycle the same full range of materials accepted in the Blue Cart Recycling Program, including paper, plastics, glass and cardboard. Toss all your recyclables in together; no sorting or special bags are required.
