The Teaching Fellows program provides up to 200 outstanding South Carolina high school seniors with a $6,000 scholarship/loan each year for up to four years. Each fellow will then repay the scholarship/loan by performing one year of service in a South Carolina public school following graduation for each year the scholarship was received.

To apply for Teaching Fellows, you must be a a U.S. citizen or will be an eligible non-citizen under State Residency Statutes at the time of high school graduation, a legal resident of South Carolina, and a high school senior or junior graduating early.
Teaching Fellows receive up to $24,000 (up to $6000 a year for four years) while they complete a degree leading to initial teacher certification*. Fellows agree to teach in a South Carolina public school one year for every year they receive the Fellowship**. * Teaching Fellows must first obtain a degree that allows for teacher certification.
