After doing some Googling today, I found a thread saying that if you set Uplay to offline mode and then launch the game, it should work. I just tested and it worked fine. I downloaded the stupid Uplay client solely to play this game and it turns out it was actually preventing me from doing so.
What happens: when I launch the game, a white screen appears, the cursor changes to the Child of Light-style cursor, then the program immediately closes with no warning.
19 Μαρ 2023 · I went through the entire game in 2017 on a Windows 10 PC with zero issues. Steam version with UPlay installer running, too. Booted it up again just now on a newer Windows 10 PC with Ubisoft Connect.
