What Can You Expect From Christian Mentoring? Traits Every Christian Mentor Should Have; The Holy Spirit’s Role in Mentoring; Tips for Effective Mentoring; Examples of Mentoring in the Bible; Modern Examples of Christian Mentoring; Resources for Finding and Becoming a Mentor
This dissertation examines the potential of Christian mentoring (CM) to engage with mental health issues (MHI) and wellbeing (WB) in youth ministry, specifically within a secondary school context.
Having described what a possible Christian perspective on mentoring might look like for workers in wider society, the author turns his attention to mentoring in church life. Different types of mentoring in churches are discussed, and suggestions made about the goals, process, and qualities of mentors.
Give examples of mentoring relationships in the Bible and how they worked. Explain how Jesus used mentoring with the disciples. Analyse the role of mentoring in making disciples today. Reflect theologically on instances of mentoring and coaching.
