There are 82 acres of developed park land with approximately 3,000 trees, 6 outdoor restroom buildings, 10 playgrounds, 5 dog fun zones and 18 parks with security lighting. The Division is also responsible for maintaining the 30.5 acres of publicly owned landscaped medians and right-of-way trees.

The parks in Dana Point offer a variety of recreational activities for everyone to enjoy. Most provide picnic tables and grills, playgrounds, and basketball courts; some with expansive ocean views. Many parks also offer beach access points to Dana Point Harbor beaches.
The City of Dana Point has 36 parks and more than 11 miles of pedestrian and multi-use trails for residents and visitors to enjoy. All parks and trails are open to the public between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. unless otherwise noted (see above).
