  1. With a HUD-VASH voucher issued by SPHA, homeless veterans are able to rent private sector housing in St. Petersburg, contingent on their motivation to continue treatment and improve their individual circumstances.

  2. The Housing Rehabilitation Assistance Program provides funding for residents needing repairs to their homes for code compliance, health issues, safety, and/or accessibility. Depending on need and eligibility, funding is available through Home Repair Loans or the Accessibility Assistance Program.

Pinellas County Veterans Services, a division of Human Services, assists veterans and their families access benefits provided by the State of Florida, the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and other government services. Our programs dedicated to veterans are specifically created to assist those struggling with homelessness, elderly veterans, and those coping with emotional, mental, and substance abuse challenges. Transitional housing programs include residential treatment for veterans recovering from substance use disorders.

  7. The goal of the Project-Based Voucher program is to expand the availability of higher quality affordable housing units to the elderly, disabled individuals, and homeless military veterans. SPHA currently is administering the following Project-Based vouchers:
