21 Ιουν 2007 · The top 30 ranked American Civil War games on BGG. I've been a history buff pretty much all my life and I hold an especial interest in the American Civil War. I have a rather extensive book collection on the topic including over 100 just on Gettysburg alone.
American Civil War games have storylines set during the secession years of the United States of America, 1861-1865. The most popular American Civil War games are also categorized as Wargames. [Note: this category is included in the Civil war category which covers all civil wars].

Civil War board games can be used to explore a variety of themes, stories and strategies related to this key conflict in history. In many games, players need to choose sides and then deploy troops in order to gain terrain along the mapboard.
It is unknown why Fowx did this, but his plates give us the ability to create actual Civil War photographs with motion. Below are eight of the 25 sequential photographs by Fowx that exist in the Brady Collection at the National Archives in the 111-B record group.
