Clamshell Quilt Guild was organized in 1989 to bring together people from Eastern Connecticut and Southern Rhode Island interested in preserving the art of quilting, learning new methods of quilting, sharing expertise among the members, and meeting and making friends with other quilters.

The Guild will be exhibiting over 200 quilts made by Guild members. There will be vendors, demonstrations, a mystery bag sale, as well as a boutique, a basket drawing and a raffle quilt. Contact webservant@clamshellquiltguild.org to register for class.

The Clamshell Quilt Guild was founded by a small group of women who were taking quilt lessons together at a local sewing machine store. As they sat over their sewing machines learning new quilt patterns, they talked about starting a new guild.
