A poem that has previously won a Poetry Society of America award cannot be resubmitted to any of the awards. We cannot accept corrections after submission. Submissions from Poetry Society employees, officers, advisory board committee members, or their immediate families are ineligible.

The PSA's Annual Awards are among the most prestigious honors available to poets. They offer emerging and established poets recognition at all stages of their careers, including our student poetry award and book awards for publishers.
Submit your work to the annual Poetry Society of America awards, with categories for unpublished and published poets, students, and more.
The following rules apply to both book awards: • Publisher may not submit the same title to both contests • Publisher may submit any number of titles to each contest • Publishers must submit 2 copies of each title • Submissions must be postmarked between October 1 and December 31, 2024 • Entry fee is $20 per title submitted
