14 Ιουν 2011 · Marine gear lube resists foaming when water leaks in. Marine grade oil will keep water in suspension and still lubricate. Traditional automotive grade oils can foam, and will not keep the water in suspension, so the gears can be running in water with no lube. Marine grade oil is different from auto oil. F.
9 Ιουλ 2010 · Planning on changing the differential oil, so while at Wal-mart I came across this SuperTech Gear Oil SAE 80W-90 GL-5. My manual says to use a Hypoid Gear Lubricant (SAE 80W-90). Do not use synthetic gear lubricants.
5 Νοε 2023 · You can use 75w90 instead of 80w90 gear oil in your differential, as it offers superior viscosity for optimal lubrication and protection of the gears. Despite not being significantly different, 75w90 gear oil has a slightly lower viscosity than 80w90, especially in milder climates.
