HR post to USAJOBS: 7 days. HR receive USAJOB Resume: 5 - 10 days (after announcement closed) HR reviews resumes for best qualified: 16 days.

Week 1: We are notified someone will be vacating a position. Hiring manager (HM, my boss) begins outreach behind them and starts the process to kick off a new hire. Week 4: They offboard/ position is officially vacant. Week 18: Announcement is finally posted.
