Many Forums already have posts about currency exchanges in their city- most warning travelers that they are rip offs and suggesting they use their debit v card at an ATM instead- advice I think everyone should heed. I don't know any city where exchanging currency is a good idea with decent rates.

Most people only bring 20´s and above and that´s what they pay with...thus supply of small bills is difficult. You must also understand that the official currency of the country is the peso, and most of our transactions are paid as such...thus not a lot of American cash floating around.
