Caliber: .38 Super. Action Type: Single Action Semi-Automatic Pistol with Removable Magazine. Markings: The right side of the slide is marked “GOVERNMENT MODEL”, the left is marked “El Jefe Supremo” with rampant colt. The right of the frame is marked “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A. / ELJF303”.
Colt 38 Super El Jefe Supremo. This is a Lew Horton Special edition manufactured in 1999 and it has a very low serial number of 67 out of only 350 made. Features a full bright stainless slide and frame with a fire blue hammer, trigger, slide stop, magazine release, thumb safety, and grip screws.

Lot #84 Colt Government Model “El Jefe Supremo” Semi-Auto Pistol. serial #ELJFS230, 38 Super, 5” barrel with an excellent bore. The bright stainless steel surfaces are excellent plus and the hammer, trigger and other small parts retain all their vibrant fire blue.
28 Μαρ 2010 · there's a whole series of south of the border flaver 38 supers from Colt. I've always heared them refered to as the "EL series" because of the "EL" in the serial number. I think the most common one is the plainest one that just says "COLT CUSTOM" on the slide. It is bright stainless.
