6 Οκτ 2014 · Earliest Use of Coltrock Grips. I know that we are lucky to have several very advanced 1911 Collectors on this forum and have been wanting to get an opinion regarding earlier Coltrock plastic grips not the later Coltwood plastic grips.

19 Απρ 2013 · Yes, the grips for a full size Colt 1911/1911A1 will fit the German made Walther Colt 1911-22. Unlike the downsized Browning 1911-22 and some other brands of 1911 22's, many other parts will also fit this full sized Walther/Colt 1911-22.
25 Δεκ 2005 · Colt offered a variety of items made from Coltrock prior to it's use as grips on the 1911A1 pistol, but it proved entirely too brittle for use as pistol grips. Almost immediately Colt withdrew the Coltrock grips from use, and later came out with a modified grip material called Coltwood.

8 Ιουλ 2017 · The Coltrock grips didn't last long--they turned brittle quickly. I agree the magazine is likely correct. Also, in spite of Clawson's uncanny accuracy on almost everything else, he got it wrong on the transition from blue to parkerized finish.
