In a patient-centred environment, radiologists can explain imaging results and answer patients’ questions if they can be contacted, either via the online portal or via a professional personal or office e-mail address.
29 Απρ 2020 · Patients increasingly access radiology results through digital portals. We compared patient satisfaction and understanding of radiology results when received through an electronic patient portal versus direct communication from providers.
We identified patients with a cancer diagnosis who received at least 1 laboratory, radiology, or pathology result through the patient portal (Epic MyChart) between January 1, 2017, and December 31, 2022. We extracted information from the reporting database supporting the EHR and the patient portal.
