30 Οκτ 2023 · On top Voli hardest counter is, imo, jax. He he has a decent knowledge of the champ, you are not going to do anything to him, and anathema Is kinda a must in this matchup. Ranged top are kinda hard, but you can still manage to win.

17 Μαρ 2022 · If LT Voli waits for Counter Strike to go off and all in Jax, it's not even close at level 3. Like not even close matchup AT ALL. Jax has to only do short trades around his E and get off to his farthest minions with Q. Voli's auto resets with both W and Q destroys any melee matchup at level 3.

19 Μαρ 2021 · Their ability to block autos wreck his lane. I don't really have trouble with fiora because I can bait her w by walking really close with q. Also don't take bone playing because his passive will easily brake wit without risk. Volibear can't freeze because of his passive, so he is an easier top layer to gank
8 Ιουν 2012 · Volibear really is sub-"good"-tier when it comes to top lane. He lacks damage early on (mid-game his ult + Wits End can do nice damage) and no defensive steriods. You just have to harass him and force him out of lane as much as you can.
22 Μαΐ 2022 · I played Voli once vs a top Morde who was pretty strong and after I got FoN the match was over because I started forcing him to Zhonya's in his ult. I'd say the best counters are champs with better mobility and good ganking/dueling. Things like Trundle, WW and Vi come to mind.

PTA is great for short trades and gives you huge burst pressure on squishies with Q-W-AA-E. Conq is less common, but along with the AP items like Nashors it can turn Volibear into an all in DPS threat with his passive. On top of runes Voli can build AD, AP or tank depending on what he needs.
To counter Volibear do not stand too close to each other in combat to reduce the impact of Volibear’s skills. Keeping your distance from Volibear will help you proactively counter him more easily. You should not fight Volibear in close combat at level 3, you should poke him from afar.
