Roaccutane is indicated for the treatment of severe forms of acne (nodular or conglobate acne, or acne at risk of permanent scarring), and acne which has failed to respond to standard therapies with systemic antibacterials and topical therapy.
Isotretinoin comes as 10mg or 20mg soft capsules. The dose of isotretinoin capsules varies from person to person, and depends on your body weight. The usual starting dose is 0.5mg per kilogram body weight per day (0.5 mg/kg/day). So if you weigh 60kg, your dose will usually start at 30mg a day.
