I've downloaded HWMonitor, and NZXT CAM software to monitor usage, temps, fan speeds, etc. I'm wondering what the best software is to use to put an overlay on games to show CPU/GPU speeds and temperatures while gaming. I have the FPS overlay enabled in Origin/Steam and that works fine.

I'm using RivaTuner to render the overlay, and HWiNFO + MSI Afterburner to get the most important stats. Just turn on the overlay and customize it to your liking. I don't overclock and I use it for fps, temp, and CPU usage. It's really awesome and you can set a hot keys to turn it on or off whenever you want too. Absolutely, you do not have to use each and every feature they put in there.
