25 Δεκ 2016 · The barrel interface in all the 700 actions presented is 1 1⁄16-inch with 16, 18, or 20 threads per inch. 16 TPI is the standard Remington thread pattern; 20 TPI is the Savage thread pitch. A 1 1⁄16-inch 20 TPI threaded action can use small shank Savage barrels.

26 Οκτ 2015 · To ensure the barrel tenon is threaded concentric with the bore of the barrel, it needs to be “dialed in”. I use a dial indicator and a Grizzly type rod. The rod has sized bushings that match the diameter of the bore.

30 Οκτ 2018 · Then calculate your thread pitch in inches. In this case we have 24 TPI, so 1/24 = 0.0417″, the distance between thread peaks. To calculate how much to face off the end, we take the two values and multiply together: (rotation factor) X (thread pitch) = (0.0638) X (0.0417″) = 0.0027″.
7 Οκτ 2020 · Which thread pitch should I use on my Remington 700? Depends. Caliber and barrel outside diameter are two factors to consider. As for caliber, anything 30 caliber and above generally wear 9/16x24 or bigger.
