17 Ιουλ 2016 · I've owned both CZ 527 & Ruger's M-77/.22 Hornet rifles. Still have the Ruger which I liked better; only thing to do to make Ruger's Hornet rifle more accurate is to upgrade the trigger and make it lighter and crisper. My Ruger M-77/.22 Hornet will now shoot <.750" @ 100 yards on average with my handloads.

31 Μαΐ 2011 · I've read, for years, about the 77/22's & 77/17's having accuracy issues, but I shoot a .22 WIN MAG, a 17HMR, and a 17HM2 with very good accuracy. Thousands of rounds thru my 77/22 MAG & still a great shooting rifle, with either Supremes or Premiers.
4 Απρ 2020 · There may be something to the claim that the rifle can be fine-tuned by changing the relationship of the torque on the front and rear mounting screws within the spec range of 60-65 in/lbs. It could affect the barrel to stock channel contact pressure. I suppose.

20 Σεπ 2014 · The more accurate 77/22s have less play between the two piece bolt or at least less severe repositioning when fired. Ruger has a well deserved reputation for heavier, grittier triggers. Getting a trigger job, or a replacement will help shrink your groups down significantly.

My bell and Carlson long action stock for the ruger Hawkeye is 30 ounces. Excellent for the price. MPI makes a custom stock for the ruger that can be made lightweight (sub 20 oz) as well.
