10 Αυγ 2014 · While you are enabling Ladder rune words in SP, you might want to enable a few rune words which the developers apparently forgot to enable in 1.11. The supported item types and complete rune word stats can be viewed here .
26 Ιουλ 2015 · What should occur in theory is, Diablo2 will use the Runeword information from that text file, allowing Runewords to now function within the Single Player game mode (even ones that are "Ladder Only")!

This guide is here for anyone who doesn't know how to get the Ladder Only Rune Words on Single Player 1.14D or 1.14C. You can still get Ladder Only Rune Words if you're using PlugY on 1.13 but unless you do this trick you'll be unable to get them on 1.14D since PlugY doesn't work on this version.
PS: Closing out with Task Manager still counts as closing the game out normally because when I logged back in, the runes were still in the fork. edit:: Oh, now suddenly instead of just Runes.txt inside the excel folder- it has about 100 other things there too. You can get ladder runewords with no PlugY. Just use a custom Runes.txt and put -direct -txt in the game shortcut. Runes.txt is easy to make yourself. Once you launch the game with those arguments, your Diablo II/data/global/excel/ folder will populate with a bunch of files.
