1 Οκτ 2008 · I do know the D80 with latest firmware [and maybe the previous upgrade] does in fact apply the equivalent of LOW NR past ISO 800 even if you select High ISO NR OFF in camera. You can easily see this for yourself if you do my little test and use NX2 Metadata tab to reveal the hidden settings the camera REALLY chose.
Newer firmware always gets better, so the D80 ought to be as good or better than the D200. Image Adjustments: the usual from Nikon for contrast, sharpness, saturation, etc. Histograms: Full color YRGB , just like D200.
