I've been reading a lot about high end resistors such as Vishay’s Bulk Metal™ Z-foil etc. Do you think in this application they would be superior to TI 1% metal film RN65 mil-spec resistors? If so, any recommendations?
8 Σεπ 2016 · For solid state gear, I usually go with the Vishay RN series - usually the RN60s (rated to 300V). These are good, quiet 1% metal film resistors, and fairly inexpensive. Mouser carries a wide range of 1/4 W and 1/2 W values. For 1 watters I usually get Vishay CCF or CPF 1% metal film.
18 Ιουλ 2018 · The CRCW-C Series is the commodity version of the CRCW Series of surface mount resistors from Vishay Dale. In speaking with my product manager I was informed the commodity versions do not go through the automotive approval process.
26 Νοε 2011 · Most audio grade resistors are made to sound in a particular way the manufacturer wants; they have a specific sound signature. If you want a neutral and transparent sound (the closest to "no resistor") go for Vishay Dale CMF55 / RN55 - the only ones I found even more transparent were the bulk foils but these are out.
26 Σεπ 2004 · As far as product offerings, they manufacture the Vishay S102K resistor (Vishay's best) without the plastic case---unencapsulated, or nude, as it were, product code TX2352. Price is <$6 per 1% resistor unless higher ohmic (break point is ~20K, prices then increasing to about $24 for 500K).
