Audio Enthusiast. Bought my DCM Time Window 7s on a 40% off whim when Incredible Universe went out of business in about 1996. I've kept them thru Yamaha to Rotel to Classe electronics and they just keep sounding better. Full range response, tight bass, super clear, with tons of space between and around the individual instruments and vocals.
30 Αυγ 2005 · The Time Windows manage to pump out some clean bass down to around 40 Hz, and in my modest living room, they sound spectacular, as good as the sound of the recordings or signals they are fed. I wish I could see a similar design utilizing modern drivers from SEAS or Scanspeak.
4 Μαρ 2021 · Does anyone here have any opinion on the DCM Time Window vintage speakers? I was in a hi-fi store and heard them playing quite by accident and was amazed at the sound. I had gone to hear some restored Ohms and the DCMs killed them, especially for orchestral music.
The three-way time and phase equalized crossover with electronic driver protection ensures a 20Hz-20,000kHz frequency range. The power handling is an amazing 20 to 700 watts.
25 Φεβ 2016 · For home theatre, it's a little more difficult to distinguish between the Time Windows and the Sig's. Aside from that beryllium tweeter, both the Sigs and the Time Windows seem to perform close to equal, with the Sig's just slightly edging ahead of the Time Windows.
7 Απρ 2017 · Only 200 sets made... Specifications: Frequency Response: 20Hz-25,000kHz. Sensitivity: 92dB (@2.83v/1meter) Nominal Impedance: 4 ohm. Seven Drivers: (2) 3/4" coaxially-mounted, diamond-coated hard dome tweeters. (1) 3/4" rear-firing hard dome tweeter. (2) 6-1/2" polypropylene drivers with butyl rubber surrounds.
The driver surrounds are butyl rubber and are rarely subject to rotting. They’ve a huge soundstage and are designed with a phase aligned crossover. In terms of models, the “1a” is the most common and is a great speaker. The “3” and “7” are even better but are far more rare. They’re all definitely full range speakers.
