30 Αυγ 2005 · There are differences in the bass loading amoung the various models of the Time Window, but they are remarkable speakers even now. Cheap, good looking (if in good shape) good imaging, decent low bass, efficient, and manage to be fun to listen to and relatively accurate.
Totally worth $300. The driver surrounds are butyl rubber and are rarely subject to rotting. They’ve a huge soundstage and are designed with a phase aligned crossover. In terms of models, the “1a” is the most common and is a great speaker. The “3” and “7” are even better but are far more rare. They’re all definitely full range ...
The Time Windows due to their configuration can be literally tuned to any room. That is due to their shape. This was a brilliantly executed design that has remained faithful all these years.
28 Μαρ 2023 · They sold new for 660 for a time and probably went up in price. Replaced by the 1A with as stated oak top and bottom with wood grain showing on the edges. The 1a has a chunk of all thread holding the top and bottom on.
11 Μαΐ 2009 · I just scored a pair of DCM Time Window 3 in near mint condition on ebay. I read a lot about these speakers but never really listened to a pair. How good are they? I will be using them with my Kenwood 700m amplifier but I also might be driving them with Sony's TA-5650 V-FET integrated. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks.
