Make sure you download the correct version which says classic for version 1.13. It sounds like you downloaded the retail version. https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/deadly-boss-mods/files. You can also use the Twitch App and then choose your WoW Classic folder/version, and it will filter for that.
