  2. Priority will be given to descendants of Vietnam veterans who were or are members of the VVA#9 in good standing for five years. A DD Form 214 is required, and both academic performance and a family’s ability to pay for higher education are considered.

  3. VA Detroit Chapter #9 Descendants of Vietnam Veterans Scholarship Fund is to provide post -secondary educational scholarships for students between the ages of 16 and 30 who are the natural or adopted direct lineal descendent of a qualifying Vietnam veteran.

  4. The student applicant must accept the final award offer and agreement forms to complete their enrollment in the VA scholarship program. Accepting the final award offer includes the acceptance of the terms of the scholarship program.

    Military Veterans Scholarship applications are accepted February 15 – May 15. Scholarship amounts range from $2,500 to $5,000 per student, per year, based on merit, financial need, and number of applications. The scholarships levels are: $2,500 (part-time students) and $5,000 (full-time students).

Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 10 is accepting applications for its annual scholarship program available to students from the Greater Cincinnati area who are pursuing their education beyond high school. These scholarships are available to veterans and their immediate family members/dependents.
