17 Οκτ 2013 · my desktop icons have disapeared and just the names of the icons below the icon position are visible on the desktop. the start button is visible but when i click, nothing happens. when i try to open a software shortcut on the desktop or a folder on the desktop, it will open but the sub files and folders have the same white icon but they open.
On your Windows 7 PC, shortcuts that you create on the desktop may be missing. This can happen if the the System Maintenance troubleshooter detects the shortcuts as broken. The System Maintenance troubleshooter performs a weekly maintenance of the operating system.
31 Δεκ 2012 · 1) Righ click on Desktop, select View and click on Show Desktop items. 2) Right click on Taskbar, select Properties and uncheck Auto hide Taskbar. Hope this helps.
3 Μαρ 2015 · Show desktop icons is unselected. To Fix this just turn that option back on. To turn the option back on , Follow the steps: Right click the desktop. Select View and then Show desktop icons. Make sure the option is checked.
19 Μαρ 2013 · The Windows 7 system maintenance will go out and remove “broken” shortcuts on the desktop. However I have seen it remove working shortcuts a countless number of times. Simply disabling this “feature” takes care of the issue.
