I’m not sure which device your running Desmume, but on Mac, you can speed up by: Emulation (on top bar) -> show execution control -> slider where you can speed up or slow down from 0x to 10x
21 Δεκ 2017 · To make DeSmuME run faster, you need to follow the given steps: Allow “Patch DealyLoop SWI” if you have to use an external BIOS image. Using a BIOS image is not recommended, as it slows down the DeSmuME emulator instead of desmume speed up. Use the “A” function.
There's an actual fast-forward option that you can set a button for in the Hotkey Config options. You could also use the Increase/Decrease Speed keys to quickly set the FPS target (up to 4x).

15 Δεκ 2023 · DeSmuME is one of the best emulators in the market for Nintendo Wii, Windows, and Mac. You can emulate Nintendo DS ROMs and demos easily. However, the issue is that there is a DeSmuME fast forward lag and there is no such DeSmuME speed-up button.
So in VisualBoyAdvance (a GameBoy Advance emulator), you can speed up the game you're running by holding a certain key that you set (I think you set it, it may be a default thing). I was wondering if DeSmuME had a similar "fast-forward button" feature- a key I could hold down that would speed up the emulation...
