Dubai Insurance Company is proud to provide a unique insurance scheme to the workforce of the UAE registered in the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MOHRE) since 2018, through a program that pays the outstanding dues to the workers in case of the financial failure of the employers.

The insurance scheme aims to protect workers from the repercussions of the employer's refusal or inability to pay the labour dues, with a total coverage of 20,000 dirhams as a maximum limit in favour of the beneficiary worker in the domestic labour sector.

Application forms for residence permits for domestic workers are printed through a service delivery channel. The application will be forwarded electronically to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security for verification of compliance.
In April 2021, the insurance scheme was improved to deliver enhanced benefits for both parties of the labour relationship by including additional coverages and more flexible terms.
