18 Σεπ 2020 · Question about setting the timing on a 2008 1.4 TSI (140bhp), When I put the crank locking bolt in, the timing gauge in number 1 piston goes past TDC by approx 0.30mm. should the timing be set exactly to TDC?

8 Μαρ 2022 · I have 1.4 TSI (125HP) Leon 2011. I have 113k kilometers (70k miles) on the clock with the timing belt/chain still not replaced. It's not making any noises or anything, but am I supposed to replace it? At which interval?
Avoid the earlier version of the 1.4 TSI if you're worried about timing chain issues as I think they're the worst from your list. You'd want the newer EA211 version with a a 'Lifetime cambelt...
