1 Ιαν 1998 · A Leica NA3000 electronic digital level, one of the newly-introduced heighting equipment, was evaluated for vertical and horizontal distance measurement. A well protected 170 m long 17-section test line was first established for this purpose using geodetic surveying techniques.

ABSTRACT. The usage of digital levels has been up to now an area between field-check and lab-calibration procedures of components. The field checks can be categorized as line-of-sight check and adjustment.
Digi-Pas® 2-axis digital leveling instruments are built with advanced MEMS Sensor Technology and precisely calibrated for non-linearity for its entire measurement range using high precision computer numerical controlled equipment with resolution of 0.0001° (< 1 arcsecond).
31 Ιαν 2011 · The results showed that the Leica N3 and NA2 optical levels were able to measure distances to an accuracy approaching 1/5000 and 1/4000, respectively, while the SDL30 digital level...
2 Φεβ 2024 · Critical distance concerns precise digital levelling, which has inaccurate results at a certain sighting distance. The influence of critical distance on a measured height difference has been confirmed by calibrating certain digital levels and their appropriate code devices on a vertical comparator under laboratory conditions.
The test includes four instruments: Leica Digital Level DNA03 to be used as reference for evaluation of the total station height accuracy, Three Total Stations: -Total Station(TCR1105- Leica), -Total Station(TCR1101- Leica) and - Total Station(TCR1102- Leica).
In these circumstances, the best measurement technique is digital levelling, in terms of operational simplicity and accuracy of the results 1, 8, 15. Since the introduction of digital levels, the wish for an automation of the reading operation led to the creation of motion-controlled versions.
