26 Ιουν 2020 · Beware of an Att/Directv scam. Someone calls claiming to be Att/Directv, they tell you they are from Directv & you need to get an upgrade on your receivers. They ask how many TV’s you have.
1 Δεκ 2021 · These phone calls look like scam, you can prevent unwanted calls by registering your line at National Do Not Call Registry. Please, keep in mind some states may maintain their own Do Not Call Registry. Another option would be by downloading a Caller ID app that help you to block those phone numbers. 5 Ιουλ 2019 · UK Finance is warning consumers to stay alert for suspicious automated phone calls pretending to be from their bank or card company, after dozens of reports of similar scams over the past week.
Pay safe: Be cautious if you're asked to pay directly into a private individual’s bank account. Paying by direct bank transfer is like paying by cash – the money is very difficult to trace and is not refundable. Wherever possible, pay by credit card or a debit card.
Vishing scams happen over the phone, voice email, or VoIP (voice over Internet Protocol) calls. Smishing scams happen through SMS (text) messages.

Identify the Scam. If you receive a call, text, email, letter, or message on social media that: Threatens to suspend your Social Security number, even if they have part or all of your Social Security number. Warns of arrest or legal action. Demands or requests immediate payment.
