1 Ιουν 2003 · Unsanded and slightly softer in action, they were discontinued after S-glass became popular. Or so I read. How I remember them - I remember them being sanded, ie, the ridges from the tape was sanded, leaving the rod smooth. I also remember a much darker color than s-glass.
Lamni company has been "associated " with rolling blanks for well known glass builders to their individual specs. Now some will admit to this fact while others closely guard their specific blank sources.
12 Δεκ 2016 · I found someone selling old lamiglas rods that were custom built. How can I tell if they're real lamiglas blanks and what kind of blanks they are? At 10', if it's a real lamiglas, could this be a gsb 1201l?
17 Μαρ 2014 · The Lamiglas glass surf rods were called Super Cutters and the # then were SC1264 ect... I beleive that when Lamiglas stated making graphite blanks in the late `70's they changed the prefix to SB for all their surf glass blanks.
21 Μαρ 2008 · Most times, a REALLY crooked blank will be totally discarded and won't be put into that 'second' pile. If you look it over closely, you'll see why they put it in there and if it's just a blemish in the finish, it'll be a fine blank at a heck of a savings normally.
I've decided to build my boy a steelhead rod for his birthday and have some questions about Lamiglas blanks. The blank I'm considering is a G1000 GSH 90 2 MT. I was just wondering if any of you guys have any insight on this blank, or for that matter Lamiglas blanks in general?
