8 Ιουν 2010 · They are for converting a weed eater to a mini-longtail. I don't know of any free plans for larger longtail or surface drive. I will forward you these mini-longtail plans and you can use the ideas to think through a possible build using a pressure washer motor.
Re: Homemade 13HP longtail (mad mud motor plans) I wouldn't weld the shroud on, I'd use bolts and fender washers. It will mak it easier to work on when you have to change the universal or bearing etc. Wed Jun 22, 2016 7:15 pm.

13 Φεβ 2018 · well after looking into these mudmotors i have decided to build my own. save some money and have a fun project for the spring. i am looking to build a 25 hp short shaft surface drive. i am looking for some help. i have some ideas in my head and have been watching youtube videos getting more. the only thing i am stuck on is the gears and drive. belt driven, chain driven.

I dont want a long tail i have read they are very hard to handle. I want something like a gatortail or prodrive set up but i want to build it myself.
